University of Essex South Courts Campus in Colchester offers a summer English programme for students aged 8 to 18. The campus is set in 200 acres of parkland in Colchester, the oldest recorded town in England and the first capital of Roman Britain, just 2 hours from London. Three full-day excursions per week are included. Accredited by the British Council, English UK and ALTO.

Students live in South Courts accommodation in flats of 4 to 14 people, each with a comfortable single en-suite bedroom and free Wi-Fi. No kitchen or shared common areas — meals are taken in the campus canteens. The accommodation is a five-minute walk from the main campus. 24-hour security, CCTV and secure access entry systems.

Sports halls, dance studio, Astroturf, grass pitches, tennis courts and ping-pong tables. Outstanding indoor and outdoor sports facilities set within 200 acres of parkland.

The activity programme runs every afternoon and evening with sports tournaments, arts and crafts, talent shows, culture nights, quizzes, themed social evenings and excursions to Colchester city centre and beyond.
