Description

Originally dating from the 16th century, Worth is set in 500 acres of outstanding natural beauty in the grounds of Worth Abbey with stunning views of the South Downs.Emerald Cultural Institute is holding a summer English camp at the private Worth School. The center occupies a 500-acre estate in the grounds of Worth Abbey, Ternes Hill Village. 50% of the school's students take A-A* level exams. London is an hour away, and Gatwick airport is a 10-minute drive. With outstanding facilities and boarding houses which have won architectural design awards, it provides a wonderful, safe environment for our students to experience and enjoy. Accommodation consists of twin and multi-bedded rooms with shared bathroom facilities, or single and twin en-suite rooms. Common areas are comfortable and equipped with games, a pool table, a grand piano, a large TV, table football and various social spaces. Laundry facilities and full-board on-campus restaurant are also included.

The curriculum covers 15 hours a week. Lessons take place in spacious classrooms. The grounds of the school overlook the South Downs hills. After school, there are art workshops and a beginners' golf course. There is a library, computer lab and art center. There are student lounges and reading rooms for recreation. Special attention is paid to sports: there is a dance studio, tennis courts, golf courses, and a gym. Trips to the British towns of Guildford and Horsham are arranged. Weekends are spent at an amusement park in London. In the evenings the children do puzzles, sing karaoke, dance and take part in sports.
