London #1

Our first educational excursion to London begins with a walking tour of the city – the best way to see all the world-famous landmarks. During the tour, students will see Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, and more. At the end of the sightseeing tour, students have free time to visit shops and buy souvenirs.

Cambridge

In Cambridge, our students enjoy a walking tour of the city to learn about its history, including an entrance into one of the famous colleges. In the afternoon, students can spend time further sightseeing, wandering the main shopping streets or trying their hands at punting on the river.

London #2

In a city like London, there is always something interesting to do. Students can visit some of London’s beautiful museums, markets, art galleries or parks on the second excursion. There will also be chances to explore a new part of London, such as Covent Garden, the City, or Oxford Street, to fit in some shopping or soak up the capital's atmosphere.

Description

Haywards Heath And Ardingly College

Ardingly College is located near Haywards Heath, just 20 minutes from Gatwick Airport and to the southeast of London. Set in 250 acres of unspoilt countryside, including forests and a lake, the College is only 20 minutes from Brighton on the South Coast.

The local town of Haywards Heath provides all services such as banking, restaurants and shopping. It is an ideal place for students to explore an English town.

Our course is at Ardingly College, one of England’s famous independent boarding schools. Founded in 1858, it moved to the present site in the 1870s and was originally a boys’ school. Over the years, facilities have been built and upgraded, but the area retains an impressive air of tradition and quality.

The school’s facilities include extensive playing fields, an indoor heated swimming pool, six hard tennis courts and two full-size astroturfs. For academic purposes, the school has spacious classrooms with interactive whiteboards, a drama studio, and space for indoor and outdoor activities.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in nine boarding houses situated around the campus. Single, double and triple rooms with shared and en-suite bathrooms are available. All houses have a communal area with a kitchen, sofas and TV. Bedrooms are cleaned weekly.

Catering

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are taken in the school dining hall. The excellent menus include vegetarian meals, a selection of hot and cold dishes, and a salad bar. A cooked breakfast, as well as a continental breakfast, is served daily. Different allergies can be catered for. Barbeques are also held regularly.
