Description
PLUS English Language Centre runs a summer camp at the Avery Hill Campus of the University of Greenwich. The campus is located in a prestigious green area of London. The location is internationally famous for being home to the zero meridian. The parkland and the Royal Observatory are close to the campus. The university is rated as one of the top five universities in England by students. Avery Hill trains future teachers and health professionals.
The campus has recreational facilities including outdoor areas, dance halls and sports fields and courts. After school there is a programme of excursions around the capital including the London Eye, Planetarium, Thames cruise, London Dungeon interactive museum and bus tours. Weekend trips are also available to Cambridge, Oxford and Brighton. For an additional fee pupils are able to prepare for the Trinity exam or IELTS. In the evenings there is Monopoly, Discos, Cinema, Karaoke and Fashion Show.
Accommodation can be a choice of residence or host family. Single rooms in the residence with shared or shared facilities. Rooms are cleaned once a week. Classrooms and cafeteria are a 10-minute walk away from the residence. Host families are carefully selected and are accommodated within 30-50 minutes of school. Meals are provided three times a day.

Program description and what is included
The English programme is 15 hours a week. Classes are held in the morning. Students take an entry test online and are allocated to a maximum of 15 students per class on arrival. During the course the students improve their pronunciation and work on the fluent use of vocabulary and phraseology in everyday communication. A special textbook has been developed for PLUS students. At the end of the programme the students receive a certificate and can take the learning materials with them. Available at any level.
