Program description and what is included

The English programme has 15 hours of lessons per week. Classes are held in the mornings, from 9.30 to 12.45. On the day of arrival, students take a placement test and are divided into groups. The course focuses on the development of language skills with an emphasis on speaking and listening. Each unit covers vocabulary and phonetics. Teachers use project work, group assignments and games to reinforce learning. All levels are suitable.

Homestay accommodation is based on twin/triple room and full board (packed lunch on weekdays/excursions).

- Orientation Tour

- One half-day excursion per week to places such as Brighton, Arundel, Chichester and Lewes
- Four half-day activities per week, including sports (football, volleyball, tennis, ten-pin bowling, etc.)

- One evening activity each week, usually a supervised disco for all junior students.

Description

CES English Centre in Worthing is the only school in the city with a star Language Travel Magazine award. A well-deserved award for quality education and state-of-art facilities. Worthing is a sunshine destination all year round. It is a seaside town with a population of 100,000 and one of the sunniest weather in Britain. The school consists of three Victorian buildings, with a hallway preserved from historic times. It's just an hour and a half train ride to London from here.

The centre has classrooms with electronic blackboards, a computer room, self-study centre and library. You can relax and socialise with classmates in the student lounges, which have microwave ovens and hot and cold drinks. There's a beach nearby and the grounds are surrounded by a garden.In free time kids can play catch in the yard, visit the art gallery, and visit the vibrant Brighton town of youth and festivals. At the weekend children can take a Thames cruise and a guided tour of Portsmouth.

Groups are accommodated in host families within a 20-30 minute drive or walk from the school. A maximum of 4 children per family. Year-round programmes include accommodation in a residence in 15 minutes walk from the school and town centre. The rooms are double and comfortable, the centre is surrounded with attractive gardens. Laundry facilities are available on campus. Meals are provided three times a day.
