Program description and what is included

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: CISL students are actively engaged in their learning process through a project-driven English program. Students reinforce language skills, as well as develop new ones which will help them succeed in a post-secondary setting. Through a variety of project and task-based activities, including debates, presentations, research and teamwork they will improve their communicative and leadership abilities.

ENGLISH COURSES

ž. Courses are held at the Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles

ž. Maximum 10 students per class

ž. Monday - Friday 9.00 - 12.40 (classes + field trips) + two theme-based weekly workshops

ž. Possible site visits include: Santa Monica, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and much more!

ACTIVITIES

ž. CISL offers a full program of activities designed to take advantage of one surfing lesson per stay, and one visit to an amusement park.

ž. A variety of interesting and focused afternoon activities are provided Monday-Friday, and a full day excursion on Saturday.

Description

The Los Angeles English program for teens is held at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), a campus set on a hill looking over the L.A. skyline and the Pacific Ocean. CISL’s LMU Summer English Program offers students the chance to study at Loyola Marymount for two, three, or four weeks and also includes an option for an additional California Coast Trip.
