Visa to Ireland
Updated in February 2020
For schoolchildren, we issue a visitor visa to Ireland for 3 months.
Parents upload scans of documents according to the list in their personal account at travelclass.org. The Travel Class manager checks and then send us the originals to the Travel Class office along with the passport.
You do not need to come to the Visa Application Center. We submit documents on your behalf and then send you a ready-made passport with a visa.
If you have a valid British visa and have entered the UK with it in the last 180 days, then you can enter Ireland with the same visa.
By the time the documents are uploaded, you must have paid for the trip in full. The Irish Embassy does not accept documents for consideration without full payment of the program.
List of documents for a visa to Ireland
1. A valid international passport (the original passport will be kept at the embassy during the entire period of consideration of documents - from 2 to 5 weeks, carefully plan other trips).
2. Visa questionnaire.
3. 2 color photographs 35 x 45 mm. The Irish are picky about photography. Primary requirements:
- A photograph for a visa must be in color, without vignettes and edging.
- The photo must be no older than 6 months.
- It is necessary to provide 2 identical photographs for each applicant.
Photo size:
- 35 mm x 45 mm, your face should be in the center of the photo.
- The size of your head (from crown to chin) must be at least 30 mm
Photo requirements:
- The photograph must show the face in full face. The gaze should be directed directly at the camera, with a neutral expression, without a smile.
- The head should occupy 70-80% of the photo.
- The photograph must be in color and be made against a white or very light background. Photos with irregular backgrounds, dark or poor quality will not be accepted.
- The entire face should be visible, from the top of the hair to the chin. It is desirable that the ears are visible.
- Tinted or colored glasses or sunglasses are not allowed. The frame must not cover the eyes (except for medical reasons).
4. Certificate from the bank in English about the state of the bank account for the last 6 months of one of the parents. The balance on the account must be at least the price of the trip.
5. Certificate from the place of work of one of the parents: contains information about the position, the period of the position held, as well as indicating the average monthly salary. If possible, request in English.
If the applicant or sponsor is an individual entrepreneur, instead of a certificate, a copy of the registration certificate of the individual entrepreneur is provided, if the general director, the certificate is issued by another person (for example, the chief accountant, head of the personnel department, deputy, etc.)
If the parent or sponsor is retired, you will need a copy of the pension certificate.
6. Certificate from the school. In the form of an educational institution.
7. Notarized consent for departure from both parents / guardians ("unaccompanied" in case of departure without parents) to the Republic of Ireland for dates with a margin of travel dates.
8. Copy of birth certificate
9. A copy of the Russian passport of both parents of the parents / guardians (spread with photo)
A couple of points:
1. The Republic of Ireland is a separate country. Not part of the United Kingdom. In the consent to leave, check that the Republic of Ireland wrote to you.
2. Ireland is not a Schengen member and you cannot enter Ireland on a Schengen visa. You can enter Ireland only on an Irish visa or on an open valid British visa if you were there no later than 180 days ago.
