Descripción
EC Cambridge is the only English language school located in the heart of Cambridge. EC Cambridge is located in a modern building close to one of the city's main shopping centres. King's College Chapel is considered the landmark of the University of Cambridge. Shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and public transport are all within walking distance of the school.
Cambridge is a city with a typical English culture, with pleasant narrow streets and lots of red-roofed houses. Cambridge is officially over two thousand years old. The city is full of historic sights, but Cambridge University - founded as far back as 1209 - is particularly famous. The university provides the highest level of education. Around 100 of its graduates are Nobel Prize winners. The large student population makes Cambridge an international city. Students from different countries spend their free time walking the streets, sitting in little cafes, or relaxing on the city lawns. You can easily cycle and boat around Cambridge. You can see Cambridge University's 31 colleges on the River Cam.
EC Cambridge is accredited by the British Council and is a world-class language school. The school has spacious classrooms with interactive touch-screen televisions. Students have access to a computer room and study room for self-study. Students can relax in the student lounge. Students have unlimited use of the library and free wi-fi. Students study in international groups. There is a maximum capacity of 14 students in groups, with an average of 12 students in a group. Lessons take place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Lessons can start either in the morning or in the afternoon. At the end of the course a certificate is issued.
In addition to the chosen course there are free seminars and activities tailored to the individual student's needs. The free language workshops include lessons on correcting pronunciation, speaking and writing. Free activities may include kayaking, tennis, barbecues and visits to local museums and galleries.
Students can also use EC Online, a personal study assistant that allows them to keep track of their studies. With EC Online, students can take a test to determine their starting level, monitor their progress, access online materials and interact with teachers after school hours. The school uses the highly regarded Net Promoter Score (NPS) system to continually receive feedback from its students and improve its level of service.
