Description

CES English Centre - an opportunity to learn a language with native speakers, live with real Scots and travel a lot. Edinburgh is a medieval city with a huge university, pointed churches and cathedrals. It holds the title of capital of the Scottish kingdom. The centre is occupied by James Gillespie's High School just south of Edinburgh Castle. There is a large park nearby with views of the majestic city. The best cafes and sandwich shops in town are within a 5-minute walk away.

The school has classrooms, playgrounds, outdoor and indoor dining areas. After the lessons kids go for walks around Edinburgh or participate in creative activities. The programme includes a history show in Edinburgh Dungeon and a visit to the extinct volcano of Arthur's Throne. Pupils have an interactive science museum and a weekend in Glasgow. Evenings are spent in discos, national dances and time with a Scottish family. This helps you to understand and become a part of the country's traditions and feel at home.

Children stay with host families. They live an average of 30-40 minutes away by train. There are no more than 4 students in one host family. The rooms are for two children. Breakfast and dinner are served by the family and lunch is prepared at school.
