Description

Located in the beautiful ancient city of Edinburgh, the school is located a short walk North East of the famous Edinburgh Castle – home to Scotland’s Crown Jewels and only a short hop from the east coast and North Sea. The school itself has been through many transformations.

Independent School in Edinburgh which opened in 1824, the original building is still part of the senior school. The Edinburgh Academy was originally a day and boarding school for boys. It ceased boarding and transitioned to co-education in 2008 and is now a fully coeducational day school.
The accommodation is 15 minutes walking or a short bus ride from the Academy in a modern residence renewed in 2015. Each apartment has an average of 4 to 6 single en-suite rooms.
