Program description and what is included

A 24-hour English course per week. On arrival, children take a language test and the results are used to form groups of 7-10. Lessons take place in the mornings with professional native speaker teachers. The course covers the main language skills: speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar and vocabulary. The main difference is that the course is combined with a social skill. Children learn how to debate and negotiate, improve their communication and creative skills, and develop their critical thinking and resistance to stress. All in English. At the end of the course, children will receive a certificate. Teaching is possible at all levels.

Description

LINES Language School is holding an English camp for children in the county of Berkshire. This is the home county of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Downe House is a top five boarding school in the UK. The historic building is surrounded by private woodland and allows you to relax and concentrate on your lessons.

The campus has a sports hall, swimming pool, tennis courts and dance studio. Students can also try their hand at street dance or zumba. Leisure time activities include trips to London, Cambridge, Oxford, Bath and Warwick. At the weekend children can explore Covent Garden and see the city from the London Eye. Optional activities include a theme park or a visit to Harry Potter Studios. In the evening there are outdoor games, concerts, live music festivals and discos.

Accommodation in the school residence in rooms for two, three and four students. Classrooms and lunchroom within walking distance. Meals are provided three times a day. Laundry facilities available on site.
