Description

Reading is a large town in the Royal County of Berkshire. It has been important since medieval times, and the ruins of Reading Abbey, a monastery with strong royal connections, can still be visited. The town itself straddles the River Thames and benefits greatly from tourism due to its close proximity to the capital city and its vibrant atmosphere.

Queen Anne’s School has a history which dates back to1698. It is situated in a lovely closed campus with 35 acres of extensive landscaped grounds just north of the River Thames. The grounds combine traditional Victorian architecture with new and contemporary buildings to provide cutting-edge facilities, all of which are just a one-mile walk from the centre of Reading.

The centre isn't solely focused on studying. There is a gym, indoor swimming pool, a dance studio and playgrounds on site. There are dance and drama workshops for children after class. Children can opt for corporate English classes as well, where students learn to write a CV and develop academic aims, self-presentation and interview skills. The programme includes trips to London and Oxford, excursions to Reading Museum and Windsor Castle. In the evening there are fashion shows, games, movies and discos.

Kids are accommodated in rooms on campus. The residential building is in a short walk from the school. Meals are served three times a day and a packed lunch is provided during field trips on weekends. A launderette is available on campus and rooms are cleaned six times a week.
